The origin of Mother's Day? Mother's Day is a holiday to thank mothers,,Happy mothers Day!!

Generally, on Mother's Day, as a child, they will prepare a gift for their hard-working mother. This holiday first appeared in ancient Greece; Positioning on the second Sunday of May every year, hardworking mothers usually receive gifts on this day, and children usually send carnations to their mothers on Mother's Day.
The tradition of Mother's Day originated in ancient Greece. On the day of January 8, the ancient Greeks gave Rhea, the mother of the Greek gods, the English names were Rhea and Cybele. The mother of Asia is therefore called the mother of the gods. By the time of ancient Rome, the scale of these events became larger, and the celebrations often lasted for three days. Of course, the worship of the goddess in ancient times was nothing but a superstition, and it is very different from the respect for motherhood today.

In the mid-17th century, Mother's Day spread to Britain. The British took the fourth Sunday of fasting as Mother's Day. On this day, when young people returned home, they brought a gift for their mother.

In 1876, the United States still mourned the deceased of the Civil War. Mrs. Anna Jarvis gave a lecture on the Memorial Day of the United States in the chapel. After telling the story of the hero who died in the battle, she said in prayer: "I hope someone will create a Mother's Day, commemorating and praising mothers in the United States and the world. "

Mrs. Chavez has served her chapel for more than 25 years. When she died at the age of 72, her 41-year-old daughter Anna decided to create a Mother's Day to fulfill her mother's wish many years ago. Anna wrote letters to many prestigious people, asking them to support the establishment of Mother ’s Day to promote filial piety. At first, she was cold, but she was not discouraged and continued to appeal to all walks of life. Anna's invitation held a service ceremony for the mothers. The following year, the ceremony was held in Philadelphia. The response was overwhelming, and finally received the support of the Governor of Victoria, and in 1910 announced the establishment of Mother's Day in the state. In 1911, the celebration of Mother ’s Day has been very extensive, not only sweeping every state in the United States of America, but also some countries in Canada, Mexico and South America have begun to celebrate this festival. People in the United States of America also printed leaflets to promote the Mother's Day in ten different languages   in order to expand their influence. In the following years, the upsurge to celebrate Mother's Day has continued unabated. In 1912, the United States of America specifically established the Mother ’s Day International Association.

In May 1913, the House of Representatives of the United States of America unanimously passed a resolution calling on the President and all officials of the Cabinet, Senate and House of Commons and the federal government to wear white dianthus flowers on Mother's Day. In 1914, the Congress of the United States of America officially named the second Sunday of May as Mother ’s Day, and asked the President to issue a declaration calling on government officials to fly the national flag on all public buildings. Immediately afterwards, President Wilson announced that citizens of the country would also fly national flags in their homes to express love and respect for all mothers in the United States of America. Since then, the President of the United States of America will issue a declaration of the same content every year. Since then, Mother's Day has been held in various countries.
