UN Command investigates the exchange of fire between the Korean and Korean demilitarized zones

The South Korean military pointed out that the United Nations Command Military Armistice Commission sent an investigation team to the post on the South Korean border on Monday to learn about the exchange of fire between the South Korean and Korean armies and to study whether North Korea violated the "September 19 South Korean-Military Agreement.

According to the Yonhap News Agency, a surveillance post in the frontline area of   the South Korean military ministry was hit by several bullets fired by North Korea. The South Korean garrison found four marks and warheads on the outer wall of the post.

The South Korean military believes that this was North Korea ’s outpost using its post weapons to shoot South Korea ’s outposts, then opened fire on North Korea and fired more than 20 shots.

A South Korean military investigation found that the 14.5-mm caliber anti-aircraft machine gun and recoilless guns on the North Korean front post were heavy weapons, while the warhead caliber found outside the South Korean outpost completely matched the Korean anti-aircraft gun.

The South Korean Ministry of Defense and the Joint Staff Headquarters believe that this incident may be an incident within the North Korean outpost. Although a fax has been sent to North Korea to request an apology, it has not received a response.
